Hey, I’m Kaitlin!

Fun fact, I was born in Toronto, Ontario and my family is Macedonian (bring on all the feta and olives!). I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and went on to play field hockey at Miami University where I studied early childhood education.

Prior to becoming a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I taught elementary school for 5 years. In my teaching career, I found myself in numerous conversations about the difficulty in providing nutrient-dense meals for individuals and their families due to multiple factors, but TIME, misconstrued notions about what “eating healthy” looks like, and the effort it takes to make big changes in their household, were common themes.

These conversations inspired me to become an NTP and to empower busy individuals in their relationship with food, mindful eating, and meal planning because I have been there. I know the struggle and hustle is real.

When I am not experimenting in the kitchen, I enjoy crafting, running, reading, trying new restaurants, and exploring the outdoors with my husband and two kiddos. I also serve as a Course Mentor for the Nutritional Therapy Association.

My Why & Philosophy

I grew up eating a lot of simple meals on repeat. My mom’s “go-to” meals were pork chops with apple sauce, pasta and red sauce, veggies, and the good ole’ rice machine. She tells me now that she enjoyed cooking, but never really learned how to do it well or efficiently. This stuck with me.

I began to experiment with cooking and fell in love with the beauty of food and the nutrients it provides our bodies. Cooking has now become a form of art to me. I enjoy creating and cooking all different kinds of meals and try to keep things fresh, versatile, and fun in the kitchen.

I strive to make meal planning, prepping, and cooking doable for my clients so that they can focus on eating more whole foods in order to feel renewed and capable of living life fully and radiantly.

I want to be a resource for the people like my mom, who love cooking, but need guidance, but also for the people who want to provide nourishing and tasty food for themselves and their families. I want to partner alongside individuals to improve their overall well-being and tackle pesky symptoms through whole food eating.

To me, a healthy lifestyle is not a one-size-fits-all approach or a quick fix.

A healthy lifestyle consists of finding balance through a sustainable approach and CAN be done with a few basic skills in the kitchen.

My goal with all of the clients I work with is to teach them that health is a priority and to educate them on the impact that real food can have on all aspects of life.

I love connecting with others, hearing about their goals and visions, as well as empowering and supporting them in fueling their wellness journey in a way that is individualized and intentional.
